Ratings, Reviews and Tasting Notes
Almost always a reliably good wine, as the succession of recommended vintages shows; the price-quality ratio is exceptional, and made even more attractive by the Stelvin (screwcap) seal, which guarantees freshness, and eliminates the risk of cork taint. As gold medals for older vintages at recent wine shows attest, this is also an ageworthy riesling.

(slightly modified): "Vibrant pale green; aromas of rich lime and a fresh floral lift of lime blossom; lime, citrus and tropical fruits drive the palate, with intense floral, lime, spice and lemon flavours; elegant, natural acid provides freshness and structure, complementing the textured, chalky finish". Relatively low alcohol (12%), a low pH (2.97) and respectable acidity (7.3 g/L) will ensure a long life.Winemaker’s tasting notes
2003
90/100 points from James Halliday in his Australian Wine Companion 2005; 4/5 stars in the Penguin Good Australian Wine Guide 2004-2005 (the authors felt the bottle they tasted had some reductive characters);gold medal: Royal Perth Wine Show 2004

2002
An outstanding vintage, producing an even better-value wine than usual. Rated 93/100 by James Halliday; 5/5 stars in the Penguin Good Australian Wine Guide 2003-2004; 5/5 stars in Winestate Magazine, Australia (July 2003);gold medal: Royal Melbourne Wine Show 2003
silver medal: Hyatt International Riesling Challenge 2005;
bronze medal: Royal Adelaide Wine Show 2002, Royal Melbourne Wine Show 2002, Royal Hobart Wine Show 2004
: "Light medium green straw. Floral, citrus blossom, and fresh lime fruits. Classic lime citrus, with intense aromatic spicy fruit flavours, finishing with zesty, citrusy acidity. The wine has a degree of 'chalky' dryness, which is a district and desirable feature of the palate structure". My own tasting notes: Very pale white-green. Delicate aromas of citrus and floral notes, with a hint of some remaining yeast characters; still a bit awkward and reserved. The palate displays varietally pure fruit, replicating the bouquet, with good acid and some steely firmness.Winemaker’s tasting notes
